Yes — it's free and MIT-licensed. No accounts, no ads, no upsells.
Does it phone home?
No. There is no backend and no telemetry. Your log, settings and pota.app session stay in your browser, on your machine.
Which browsers work?
Chrome and Chromium-based browsers, loaded unpacked with Developer mode on.
Why isn't it in the Chrome Web Store?
ParkWatch is distributed directly as a zip you load unpacked. That keeps it fast to update and free of store review, and lets it talk to your radio and loggers without extra hoops.
Do I need the helper?
Only for rig control, UDP logging or DX-cluster spotting. The spot list, flags, filtering, one-click logging to web loggers, and program spotting all work with the extension alone.
Which programs are supported?
POTA, WWFF, LLOTA and IOTA — plus reading and posting to the DX clusters. A POTA/WWFF dual park counts as one contact.
Will it mess up my log?
ParkWatch only sends to the loggers you set up, and keeps a local session that survives closing the tab. Nothing is uploaded anywhere you didn't choose.
How do I keep my data when updating?
Unzip the new build over the same folder and hit Reload. Removing the extension or loading it from a new folder clears its storage — but if that happens and the helper still holds a backup, ParkWatch offers to restore your data in one click.
